StoryaEdit by Neuraltree Private Limited is a web-based developmental editor for fiction. These terms set out the agreement between you and Neuraltree Private Limited ("we", "us") when you use it.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using StoryaEdit you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use StoryaEdit on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for it.

What StoryaEdit does

StoryaEdit reads the chapters and scenes you submit and returns editorial analysis — developmental feedback, line-level notes, and scene-planning analysis. It is a tool that produces suggestions to help you revise your own work. It is not a ghostwriter, and it does not guarantee that your manuscript will be published, accepted, or commercially successful.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information, and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content and intellectual property

You retain all rights to the manuscripts and text you submit. You grant Neuraltree Private Limited a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, transmit, and store your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. We claim no ownership of your work and do not use it to train models for our own purposes.

AI-generated feedback

StoryaEdit's analysis is generated with the assistance of AI models and is provided as suggestions only. It may be incomplete, mistaken, or simply not to your taste. You decide what to accept and what to ignore, and you remain the author of your manuscript at every step.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit content you do not have the rights to use;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone else's rights;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• resell or redistribute access to the service.

Plans, billing, and refunds

StoryaEdit offers a free tier and a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you have paid for. If you are unhappy, email us and we will refund the last paid month — no argument.

Termination

You can stop using StoryaEdit and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or if required to protect the service or other users.

No warranty

StoryaEdit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the feedback it produces will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Neuraltree Private Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) StoryaEdit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Neuraltree Private Limited is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
